Planting and Care for Tulip Bulbs:
Plant the flower bulbs in loose soil 10 cm. deep and about 5 cm. from each other for a beautiful sea of flowers in spring. You can plant the flower bulbs from September to December before the frost period with the tips up. Tulips are best planted in a sunny or semi-shaded spot with a spade or a special bulb planter. You should only water the flower bulbs during extremely dry periods. Tulips are generally not perennial bulbs and are most beautiful in their first year. It is therefore best to remove the tulip bulbs after flowering and plant new ones again in the autumn. Tulip bulbs need a cold period (winter) to flower. In the open ground, they can withstand all weather conditions. In case of extreme frost, you should put the tulip bulbs planted in pots in a cold shed.
The Tulip as A Cut Flower:
Tulips are very suitable as cut flowers. It is best to cut the stems in the morning and put them in a vase with lukewarm water and cut flower food. The fresh flowers stay well in your vase for a long time. In this way, you can compose your own bouquets. Because we only supply the largest tulip bulbs, you will also receive the largest flowers
